ON leave from Girls Aloud duty, Sarah Harding has been pursuing her career as a star in her own right by posing for her first ‘solo’ calendar.

The Stockport lass looks suitably fetching as she shows off her enviable figure for the 2011 calendar in various poses – including the obligatory ‘corset on a swing look’. Mechanics, make a space on your garage wall now.

Clearly our Sarah is a lads’ mag favourite, but I had to chuckle when I spotted a reader’s comment on one newspaper website.

Commenting on the calendar, Dave from Scotland wrote: “There is a girl at my work, who looks like a fat-version of Sarah Harding. Do you think I should go for it, or go for a thinner but less attractive girl instead?”.

What a romantic!

Though if he goes for a fat, less attractive girl I’m sure he’ll be sorted.

She’s not performed with Girls Aloud for well over a year now and has been busy pursuing solo projects.

So it’s no wonder that Sarah Harding wants to celebrate being a star in her own right by posing for her very first solo calendar.

The singer, 28, showed off her stunning figure for the 2011 calendar which shows her in 12 seductive poses.

In one, she stands atop a wooden swing dressed in a white lacy body and cream coloured heels with pink streaks in her hair and a shaggy blue bolero round her shoulders.

The calendar is available to buy now and is a must for all fans of the blonde pop star.

Last year, Girls Aloud decided to take a year long hiatus and would return with a new album this year.

But that has yet to transpire, leaving the five members free to pursue other projects.

While Cheryl Cole has had success with a solo album and as a judge on X Factor and Nicola Roberts has launched her own make-up range, Sarah has also been keeping busy.

She was signed as the face of Ultimo lingerie for a reported £100,000 and launched a new nightclub in London called Kanaloa.

She appeared in St. Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold playing a new pupil called Roxy and is expected to release a solo album at the end of this year.

But once a party girl, always a party girl and Sarah was back on the scene last weekend as she attended the wedding of her fiancé Tom Crane’s brother.

Looking every inch the celebrity guest in her short, asymmetrical silver dress, she was snapped having a whale of a time at the ceremony in London last Sunday.

According to reports, she arrived late for the wedding and tried to sneak in as the the bride and groom were taking their vows.

After the wedding, Tom’s brother is believed to have jokingly had a go at her for her tardiness.

She then became the life and the soul of the reception – which was held on a boat on the River Thames – and was snapped with a female friend dancing enthusiastically in her seat.

As the night wore on, onlookers said Sarah consumed a lot of champagne and was seen sitting on the floor at the stern of the boat with her friend before she and Tom left just after 1am.
