Guess who’s up for X-Men..

Hollywood could be getting a sexy new action-hero in the shape of Girls Aloud beauty Sarah Harding.

Word reaches me that Sarah has been for two auditions for the next X-Men film and is waiting to hear if she has bagged the role as a femme fatale baddie.

Yep, you heard me right. Sarah could be heading over to LA to star in a film that will no doubt propel her to international stardom.

My source reveals: “The makers of the films like her attitude and think she could be a great addition to the cast.

“They were very impressed with her in the second St Trinians movie and are testing her out to see if she can make the grade for an action flick like X-Men.

“Everybody’s keeping their fingers crossed she gets it.”

If Sarah were to clinch the role on X-Men: First Class she would be working alongside a more than impressive British line-up. James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Rosamund Pike, Alice Eve and Michael Fassbender are already cast in the film, set for release next summer. Meanwhile, fellow band mate Nicola Roberts, who this week launched her Dainty Doll make-up range, has decided to embark on a solo career.

I can reveal she’s secretly been recording new tracks and will announce she’s signed a record deal with Sony Music within weeks.

My mole said: “Nicola got bored of waiting for the girls to regroup, so she thought why not give it a go as a solo star? She wants to do something different to the other girls – something kookier and cooler.

She’s an original girl – and the label want to utilise that fact with her music.” The girls, Sarah with an X-Men look…

who still have a three album deal with Universal imprint Fascination, announced in April that they were taking a year-long break to do individual projects. Cheryl Tweedy has had a great solo career as well as being a judge on X Factor, Kimberley Walsh has forged a TV presenting career and Nadine Coyle is working with William Orbit on her solo album – due for release in November.

These developments for Sarah and Nicola lead me to think we’ll be lucky if we ever get Girls Aloud back…
