Kellie Shirley cops a feel of Sarah Harding as they start filming Run For Your Wife

When Sarah Harding’s figure looks as good as this, you can’t blame her new co-star Kellie Shirley for ‘copping a feel’.

The Girls Aloud singer was spotted showing off her acting chops yesterday as she kept a straight face while having her breasts groped by her co-star as they filmed a new movie in London.

Dressed in a cropped T-shirt to show off her toned abs and pink tracksuit bottoms, Harding filmed her scenes on the balcony of a housing estate with ex-EastEnder Shirley.

Run For Your Wife, adapted from Ray Cooney’s popular 1983 stage play of the same name, is Harding’s first major film role after smaller performances in the St Trinian’s movies and BBC drama Out Of Control.

The independent British film sees the pop star play Stephanie Smith, a housewife in Finsbury, North London, unaware her taxi driver husband John (Danny Dyer) has a second life – and second wife Michelle (Denise Van Outen) in Stockwell, South London.

The story sees John’s double life unravelling and his desperate attempts to stop his two wives coming face-to-face.

The movie will mark Van Outen’s big screen debut after a string of critically-acclaimed performances in the West End and on Broadway.

Brit School graduate Shirley, who played Carly Wicks in EastEnders until 1998, plays Stephanie’s friend Susie Browning.

Playwright Cooney has also written the screenplay after turning down numerous Hollywood requests to make it into a movie.

He explains on his official website: ‘During the next five years three draft screenplays (of varying quality), were penned by Hollywood writers, several ‘star’ actors purported to be interested and budgets proposed ranging from $10million to $25 million!

‘So, when Fox asked me for a further year’s option I, (very politely!) said “No, thank you. I’ll set it in London, have a go at the screenplay myself and have in mind a budget whereby those involved might possibly see a profit.”

‘So, despite further approaches for the film rights, I have come up with what my colleagues all think is a terrific screenplay.’

The film also starts Neil Morrissey as Gary Gardner, Ben Cartwright as DS Troughton, Nicholas Le Prevost as DS Porterhouse, Christopher Biggins as Bobby Franklin and Lionel Blair as Cyril.

Run For Your Wife is due for release in the UK in Spring 2012.
